TV or Music, it’s All Good Entertainment

TV:
There’s nothing worse than watching TV and the only choices you have are shitty b-series from the 80-90’s, like Dallas or Beverley Hills 90210 to mention a couple. But the absolute lowpoint of it all must be the “new” shows on MTV like The Barbershop and Your Mama. They urge you to get an AK47 and a Crocodile Dundy machete and finish them up. Just jump into the screen and make Hannibal Lecter look like a teenage girl having her first period.
Luckily there are some clear improvements with MTV:s really fucked-up Wonder Showzen that I’ve been able to understand thanks to special products. After that, they aired Stankervision that could be quite entertaining once in a while but got cancelled to make place for a much better show, Strutter. The main goal is to offend most of the world using drugs, fucking, beating and simply politically incorrect jokes.
“At the tail end of last year Mike was awarded the Guinness World Record for ‘Most Swearing in a Television Programme’ for episode 1 of ‘Strutter’; which contains 201 confirmed profanities. This equates to almost ten swearwords per minute and beats (on a minute for minute basis).”…”Not bad going we think. Take a gander at the picture below… this was taken at the official presentation ceremony in London. Mike is cheerfully accepting the award from the head of Guinness World Records.”
So check out som Strutter clips on Struttergear.com, I recommend the Mikroslave scetch that you can find under Strutter Informercials.

Swedish summer-perks, Primitive Style
Posted by JP - 22/05/07 at 04:05:00 pm
Good weather’s here and so is the clothing, meaning female clothing goes minimal. Maybe not elsewhere but in Sweden it’s a deadserious contest. After a whole year of intense preparation, the fittest physical assets are combined toappropriately reduced clothes. The only matter is that liberally brought up 13 year olds have also adopted that tradition. So unless you’re a Belgian priest with child-corpses in the basement it’s recommended to keep that in mind.
Adding great weather and beautiful girls to great bloodpumping tunes is our current duty, so here it is:
Comanechi - Death of You - Passions Splatterhouse Remix.mp3
(We really wanted to put this but Palms Out beat us by one day… tuff break)
Damn Arms - Homewrecker - Passions Remix.mp3
Oh yeah, forgot the cooking, they better not burn the rice, or else…
Shilas Bedroom Fashion - Blue Murder.mp3
Shilas Bedroom Myspace
Now download these songs and go get your share of what splendid pleasures life has to offer.

French Action
Posted by JP - 19/05/07 at 12:05:00 pm
The french labels seem to be quite in action. Summer’s coming and attendance is rising so there’s an immediate need for suitable tracks…
It’s been very much talked about but Justice recently had there release party. We envy those who had the chance to be there judging from the music we’ve heard. Pretty much every song have been leaked but one of them not as much, so there you go:
Justice feat. Uffie - The Party.mp3
Another Justice tune, a remix of Scenario Rock:
Scenario Rock - Skitzo Dancer - Justice Remix.mp3
Now the Institubes protégé, the young Surkin’s Remix EP of Fireworks has just been refired:
Surkin - Kiss ‘N’ Horn - Vengeance Edit.mp3
By the way, watch out for next week’s Institubes Label Night at Debaser Medis on on Friday in Sthlm: Featuring Surkin and Para One. Looks very promising.
As a little outro, a Philippe Zdar (Cassius) song to fade out intensity-wise:

PS: Zshare seems really slow lately so we’re trying out other uploading sites, leave a comment to let us know how it all works out.DS

Time Is Music
Posted by Ders - 15/05/07 at 09:05:00 pm
Introductory Nota Bene: Klaxons - Golden Skans - Switch Remix.mp3
It’s getting real confusing. There’s far too much good music to listen to, releases and events to be updated on and ultimately attend, less known creations waiting to be discovered, plus a shitload of non-musically related activities to fit in. It seems catching up is impossible but somehow there must be a way of not going totally bananas.
Being heavily dependent of loads of music ranging from completely different genres, I’d make the rather safe assumption that it’s all about listening or else it would be pretty useless. Well either you’re organized Ikea-style or only listen to a couple of Neil Young albums but something very drastic needs to happen to be on top of it all, or even halfway there.
With that in mind, we thought a grand melting pot of what has been sent to us, tracks we’ve been listening to lately and releases we urge you to get hold of, should do part of the trick. Some of the following attachments must have come across your little mouse, if so blame the Internet’s overabundance and we’ll keep publishing whatever we feel like and try to keep track of what’s from this decade at least.
To start off real heavy:
The utterly favoured French touch, the “extravaganza” of distortions, DatA and his upcoming release Aerius Light due to be out the 28th of May. Nothing else to say but Freaking awesome!
In a far less mediated and heavy sphere than Klaxons, Switch or datA, Minitel Rose a new fluoloving electroteam caught our French ears. It’s very kitch and fun, maybe a feeling that its already been heard before but it’s all in a colourful way:

Minitel Rose – When I was punk.mp3 - (Removed by artist, Check their Myspace)
I’ve given up trying to describe the following track. There must be something too hard to pinpoint… The beat is so addictive it would make me quit smoking but on second thought make me light one too. Yeah, too weird to describe…

Spektrum – Kinda New – Dirty South ´07 Remix.mp3
Now take some time to listen…

Update
Posted by JP - 07/05/07 at 04:05:00 pmWe are truly sorry for not updating NBE for about a week, can’t promise anything but external distractions can take over from time to time.So let’s get right to it:The upcoming release of Etienne De Crecy, Commercial EP2, is on it’s way and we’re anxious to see what he has prepared being a something of a true veteran. Here’s a little foretaste:
Grodan resident, Ida Engberg releasing her EP, Disco Volante on Pickadoll includes probably one of the best songs this year. Remixed by Sébastien Léger and Hugg & Pepp. Thanks to RiskyB.
Ida Engberg - Disco Volante - Sébastien Léger Remix.mp3
Finally, a track from last year but we figured it never goes out of taste.
